Summer Drone Camp is a FREEsummer program hosted by Wilkes County Schools available to interested rising 9th-grade students. At Drone Camp, students will learn safety, rules and regulations, and the skills necessary to successfully pilot a drone. Students will go on flight- inspired field trips, hear from guest speakers, learn about career opportunities, and participate in fun and engaging drone flying activites!

 

 

• Will food be provided?
  • Yes!  Breakfast and lunch will be served to all camp participants free of charge.
• Is transportation provided.
  • No.  Students will be be responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from camp.
• Which drone camp should I register for?
  • Students must register for camp in the district where they attend school.
• Is a flight certification required?
  • No.  Students will be allowed to fly under the instructors license.
• Are there any fees.
  • No.  Eligible students can attend camp free of charge.
